1. What is your ideal day on the river?

Tubing, good food, cold beer, and not getting sunburned!

3. What has been the most rewarding aspect of your internship?

Knowing that she is helping keep the river healthy.

4. What surprises you most about a being a Swim Guide intern?

The colorful people she meets on her route.

 5. What is your favorite snack to eat while sampling? 

Lay’s Salt and Vinegar Chips


Mikyla, the Marvelous Central Route Sampler

1. What is your ideal day on the river? 

Overcast with a breeze just straight chilling.

2. What is your favorite river jam? 

While out sampling, she’s jamming to Tame Impala. 

3. What has been the most rewarding aspect of your internship?

Taking an interest in the river and learning more about it.

4. What surprises you most about being a swim guide intern?

Random people asking questions or telling me stories about their time on the river.

5. What is your favorite snack to eat while sampling? 

She enjoys eating raw almonds.


Eyanna, the Sweetheart of the South Route

1. What is your ideal day on the river? 

With Friends bumpin’ loud music on boat = party boat

2. What is your favorite river jam? 

It changes throughout the day, at the beginning “I’m On One” and finish with Ed Sheeran “Happier”

3. What has been the most rewarding aspect of your internship?

Seeing how the business side of the non-profit organization works through Swim Guide and the relationship building is such a vital part of it.

4. What surprises you most about being a swim guide intern? 

How individual’s personalities and testimonies that make this organization what it is.

5. What is your favorite snack to eat while sampling? 

She eats a balanced breakfast and stays hydrated throughout the day.
