Become a Member
Support our organization or make a donation by becoming a member of Coosa Riverkeeper. We need your membership to give us strength, spiritually and legally, to fight for clean water in your backyard. Below are levels of membership that we offer. Additionally, you can make a contribution in any amount you want by clicking here.
$10: Coldwater Darter (Etheostoma ditrema) a vulnerable fish that is endemic to the Coosa.
$25: Blue Shiner (Cyprinella caerulea) a threatened fish extirpated from its native Cahaba and now found on the Little River, Choccolocco and Weogufka Creeks of the Coosa.
$50: Pygmy Sculpin (Cottus paulus) a threatened bottom-dwelling fish found only at Coldwater Spring near Anniston.
$100: Lacy Elimia (Elimia crenatella) a threatened snail found only in the Cheaha, Emauhee and Weewoka Creeks of Talladega County.
$250: Southern Clubshell (Pleurobema decisum) an endangered mussel found in the Coosa, Cahaba and Tallapoosa Rivers.
$500: Green Pitcher Plant (Sarracenia oreophila) a critcally endangered, carnivorous plant found mostly in Alabama near the Coosa.
Group Membership
We offer group membership for your local environmental or community group. Group membership is an attractive way for your lake group or civic group to show your support for Coosa Riverkeeper. Group membership begins at $100.
