Waterkeeper Alliance

Waterkeeper Alliance is an international alliance of 200 organizations on 6 continents fighting to protect their local waterways. Waterkeeper Alliance was founded in 1999 to connect and support local Waterkeeper organizations. Waterkeeper offers legal, scientific, and capacity-building advice, provides networking opportunities, and often advocates for issues common to multiple local Waterkeepers. Coosa Riverkeeper is joined by 7 fellow Alabama Waterkeepers: Black Warrior Riverkeeper, Cahaba Riverkeeper, Choctawhatchee Riverkeeper, Hurricane Creekkeeper, Mobile Baykeeper & Tennessee Riverkeeper.
